What do wrist wraps do in the gym?

Wrist wraps stabilize your wrist in a neutral position so it doesn't bend back on pressing-heavy exercises. On the bench press, military press or dips, high forces act on the joint — a wrist wrap holds it secure, improves force transfer to the bar and takes load off tendons and ligaments. That way you train with more control and focus on clean technique instead of wobbling wrists.

Are wrist wraps worth it for the gym — even for beginners?

Yes, wrist wraps make sense as soon as you do pressing-heavy exercises like the bench press, shoulder press or dips — beginners included. Early on, the muscles around the wrist often aren't strong enough yet to handle heavy loads cleanly. A gym wrist wrap gives you stability and technical control. How tight should wrist wraps be?

A wrist wrap should sit tight enough to hold the joint in a stable, neutral position — but not so tight that it cuts off circulation. A good test: you should still be able to slide two fingers under the wrap. If your fingers go numb or tingle, it's too tight. Wrap tighter for heavy lifts, looser for dynamic movements.

Are wrist wraps suitable for women too?

Depending on the model, our wrist wraps are made from sturdy polyester fabric or flexible neoprene – durable, supportive and built for intense load. To care for them, hand wash or use a gentle 30 °C cycle, skip the fabric softener and let them air-dry. That keeps the material and the Velcro working for a long time.
