Black and Gold Wrist Wraps – Gym Warriors Logo
The Gym Generation wrist wraps in black with the yellow-gold Gym Warriors logo support the joint on heavy pressing work: 25 cm wraps in a cotton-elastic weave, anchored with the thumb loop and wound as tight as you need with the Velcro closure. As wrist support for the gym they hold the wrist in a stable position when it gets pushed back on bench press, shoulder press or dips. Same build as the all-black version, only with a gold logo instead of white. One size, sold as a pair, for men and women.
Made for strength training, bodybuilding, weightlifting and calisthenics – wrist support anywhere the joint gets pushed back under load. If you also want to take the weight off your grip on pulling work, pair them with lifting straps. Developed by Gym Generation, a Swiss brand for training and strength gear since 2013.
The Gold Logo on Black
Most wrist wraps are black with a white print. This version carries the Gym Warriors emblem in a warm yellow-gold on black, and it sits on the outside once the wrap is wound – visible while you train rather than buried under a turn of fabric. If you want a colour accent on your gear instead of standard white, this is the one. Technically identical to the all-black version: same length, same weave, same closure.
What the Wrap Actually Does
Under a heavy press the bar pushes the hand back, and the wrist is the joint that gives first. The wrap closes a firm cuff around it and keeps it near neutral, so the load runs in a straight line from forearm through hand into the bar instead of bending at the weakest point. You feel it as a steadier bar path and a set that ends when the chest or shoulders are done, not when the wrist starts complaining.
25 cm, Half Cotton and Half Elastic
Long enough for several turns and a firm hold, short enough to put on and take off between exercises – 25 cm is the length that suits gym training rather than competition. The cotton half sits comfortably on the skin and takes up sweat; the elastic half is what lets you set the tension and keeps it there through the set.
Black and Gold Wrist Wraps – Frequently Asked Questions
Is a wrist wrap the same as a wrist band?
Not quite. A gym wrist band is usually a terry sweatband – it absorbs sweat and gives no support. A wrist wrap is a support wrap: you wind it around the joint and set the tension yourself. If you searched for a wrist band because you want your wrist held on heavy presses, this is the right product.
What is different about the gold version?
Only the logo. This one carries the Gym Warriors emblem in yellow-gold, the all-black version in white. Length, weave, thumb loop and Velcro are identical and the support is the same – it is purely a design choice.
Wrist wraps or lifting straps – what is the difference?
Two different jobs. Wrist wraps brace the joint on pressing work; they do nothing for your grip. Lifting straps wrap the bar and take the weight off your grip on pulling work; they do not stabilise the wrist. If you press heavy, you want wraps. If your hands give out on deadlifts, you want straps.
How do I put them on and how tight?
Thumb loop over the thumb, start just above the wrist and wind firmly around the joint with the hand slightly extended, then close the Velcro and slip the loop off. Tight enough that you feel the wrist supported, not so tight that the hand tingles or goes cold. Light for high reps, firm for heavy singles – loosen between sets.
Should I wear them for every set?
No. On heavy pressing they earn their place. Light sets and warm-ups do not need them, and leaving them off for part of your work lets the wrist keep building its own strength. If you already have wrist pain, speak to a doctor or physiotherapist rather than covering it up with a wrap.
Does the gold print wear off?
Not in normal use. Wash cold by hand and air dry – heat is what attacks both the print and the elastic. Keep them out of the tumble dryer and off the radiator, and air them out between sessions.
