Lifting Straps with Wrist Support – Padded Cuff and Cotton Band
A roughly 30 cm cotton band that wraps the bar, on a wide neoprene cuff with around 4 mm of padding that closes with Velcro. The band takes the load off your grip while the cuff steadies the wrist, so you are not wearing a strap and a wrist wrap on the same hand. Black throughout with the Gym Warriors logo in gold on the cuff. One size, adjustable, sold as a pair.
Plain Cotton Band, No Silicone
The band on this one is bare cotton weave – no grip panel, no printed stripes. All the hold comes from the wrap itself: two or three turns of cotton against knurling, tightened by the pull. It is the simpler of the two builds, and the one to take if you want nothing on the band that can wear off. If you want the extra friction, the silicone grip version carries stripes woven into the same 30 cm band.
Fewer Turns with a 30 cm Band
Worth knowing before the first set: 30 cm gives you roughly one and a half to two turns around an Olympic bar, where a 59 cm strap gives you three. Less band means a faster set-up and less bulk in the hand, but it also means the wrap has to be placed properly rather than simply piled on. Feed the end under the bar, bring it back over, and roll the bar towards you until it locks before you lift.
Gold Gym Warriors Logo on the Cuff
The cuff carries the Gym Warriors logo in gold: the spartan helmet with the wordmark beneath it. Gold on black is the only colour on the whole item, and it is what tells this version apart from the all-black silicone model at a glance.
Lifting Straps with Wrist Support – Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between this and the silicone grip version?
Both have the same padded cuff and the same 30 cm band length. This one has a plain cotton band and the gold Gym Warriors logo; the other version has silicone stripes woven into the band and is black throughout. Same wrist support, more bite on the silicone one, cleaner look on this one.
Why is the band shorter than on a classic strap?
Because the cuff is already doing the wrist job. A plain 59 cm strap needs the extra length to form its own wrist loop; here the loop is the cuff, so the band only has to reach around the bar.
Does cotton hold as well as a silicone panel?
On a chalked bar and dry hands, yes – cotton against knurling grips well. The difference shows up when your hands are wet: that is where a textured panel keeps its bite longer and a plain band starts to creep.
Can I wear the cuff without wrapping the band?
You can, and some people do on pressing days – but the cuff on its own is a light support, not a stiff wrist wrap. If bracing the joint under a bench press is the main job, buy a wrist wrap for that and keep these for pulls.
How do I wash them?
Cold hand wash and air dry. Keep them off the radiator: heat is what hardens neoprene padding and tires the Velcro faster than use does.
