Classic Black Gym Shorts for Men with a Raw-Cut Hem

The Classic in black are men's gym shorts made from 80% cotton and 20% polyester, brushed on the inside, with a white embroidered Gym Generation logo on the leg. The elastic waistband pulls in with a thick drawcord, and the cut-off legs finish in a raw-cut hem. Two open side pockets hold keys, a card or your phone. Available in sizes S to XL; they run slightly small.

Soft brushed 80% cotton sweat fabric

The Classic uses the same soft, hard-wearing sweat fabric as our joggers and hoodies: 80% cotton and 20% polyester, smooth on the outside, brushed on the inside. The brushed face sits softer against the skin than plain jersey and keeps these black gym shorts comfortable through a long lifting session. Cotton also holds more moisture than polyester, so they take longer to dry than a lightweight training short.

Relaxed cut with a thick drawcord

The relaxed cut gives these black athletic shorts room through squats, lunges and the leg press without going baggy. The elastic waistband lies flat and pulls in with the thick drawcord for a secure hold without digging in. The legs are cut off at the bottom and left with a frayed raw-cut hem rather than a stitched edge. Both side pockets are open rather than zipped, so things go in and out fast between sets.

What is the difference between the Classic and the V8 Premium shorts?
The weight of the fabric. The Classic is cut from a cotton sweat blend – soft, substantial and finished with the raw-cut hem. The V8 Premium Gym Shorts use a lighter polyester-elastane fabric that stretches and dries far faster. Take the Classic for comfort, the V8 when the session gets sweaty.

What kind of training are the Classic Gym Shorts made for?
Weightlifting, bodybuilding and general gym sessions, where comfort and freedom of movement matter more than drying time. For CrossFit, HIIT or running, the lighter V8 Premium is the better choice.

How do the Classic Gym Shorts fit?
The Classic fit runs relaxed and slightly small. If you are between sizes or prefer a looser fit, choose one size up. Our model is 185 cm, 92 kg and wears L, and the drawcord does the rest.

Do the shorts shrink in the wash?
The polyester content helps the fabric hold its shape. Wash them at 30°C inside out and let them air dry – heat from a tumble dryer is what shrinks cotton, so keep them out of it.
