The V8 Premium are black gym shorts for men made from 95% polyester and 5% elastane, with a white Gym Generation logo print on the leg. Lightweight, stretchy and shape-retaining, with a knee-length cut, elastic drawcord waistband and two open side pockets. Available in sizes S to XL with a regular fit.

Lightweight polyester with five per cent elastane

The high polyester content keeps these training shorts lightweight and allows them to dry quickly, while the fabric absorbs little moisture. The fabric mix provides 4-way stretch, so the material gives in every direction and returns to its shape afterwards.

Straight cut with an elastic drawcord waistband

The V8 sits around knee length with a straight athletic cut and provides full freedom of movement during squats, lunges and jumps without pulling at the bottom of the movement. The elastic waistband with a white drawcord and engraved silver tips can be adjusted to your preferred fit and keeps the shorts securely in place during dynamic training sessions.

Two open side pockets without zips

The two open side pockets keep keys and cards within easy reach during training, while the zip-free design makes them quick to access between sets. The white Gym Generation logo is printed low on the leg.

What is the difference between the V8 Premium and the Workout Shorts Classic?
The main difference is the fabric. The V8 Premium are made from 95% polyester and 5% elastane, making them lightweight, stretchy and suited to intense training sessions and warm days. The Workout Shorts Classic use a cotton-blend fabric that feels softer and is well suited to everyday wear, but offers less stretch. If you sweat heavily during training and prioritise freedom of movement, the V8 Premium are the better choice.

Which gym shorts are best for sweaty workouts?
Fabric choice makes a noticeable difference. Cotton absorbs more moisture and dries more slowly than polyester. The V8 Premium are therefore well suited to strength training, cardio and CrossFit on hot days.

How do the V8 Premium shorts fit?
These athletic shorts have a regular fit and are available in sizes S to XL. Use your usual trouser size as a guide; the elastic waistband and drawcord allow you to adjust the fit.
