Material: 95% Polyester, 5% Elastane

The fabric is what makes the difference. The high polyester content keeps the shorts light and lets them dry fast – no heavy, waterlogged fabric on sweaty sessions. The five per cent elastane brings stretch in every direction and the recovery to match: the shorts move with you and return to shape afterwards. Together that gives a light, elastic feel that holds up deep into a hard session.

Colour, Cut and Waist

The marled dark grey is an understated alternative to black – dark enough for a clean look, but with a little more depth from the marl, which puts the shade closer to anthracite than to a flat grey. These shorts – often just called training shorts or workout shorts – sit knee-length with a straight, sporty fit that does not restrict you on squats, lunges and sprints. The elasticated waist with its white drawcord and engraved silver tips cinches exactly where you want it and keeps the shorts in place when the session picks up pace.

What is the difference between the V8 Premium and the Classic shorts?
The fabric. The V8 Premium is 95% polyester and 5% elastane – light, stretchy and quick-drying, made for intense, sweaty sessions and warm days. The Classic is a cotton blend, softer and better suited to everyday wear, but less stretchy. If you sweat a lot and want freedom of movement, take the V8.

Will the open side pockets hold my phone during training?
For keys and cards the pockets are ideal. For a phone they work on calmer sessions and on the way to the gym – on sprints or jumps we would not carry it in an open pocket, since they have no zips.

Do the shorts dry quickly?
Yes. The high polyester content makes them dry noticeably faster than cotton shorts – which makes them ideal for sweaty workouts and for summer.

How does the sizing come up?
The shorts are true to size and have an elasticated waist with a drawcord that adjusts to you. Go by your usual trouser size; if you prefer a looser feel, take one size up.

How do I care for the V8 shorts?
Wash the shorts at 30°C inside out and keep them out of the tumble dryer – that preserves both the colour and the stretch. Do not use bleach.
