Green Lifting Straps in Olive – Cotton Band with Silicone Grip
Classic lifting straps in olive green, made from 80% cotton and 20% neoprene, with a band roughly 59 cm long and 4 cm wide and a silicone grip surface carrying the GRIP STRAP lettering in black. You wrap the band around the bar and put the loop around your wrist: the grip panel adds bite, and the load transfers into the band instead of your grip. Around 4 mm of padding at the wrist keeps the loop from digging in. One size, sold as a pair.
A Muted Olive Green, Not a Bright One
The green sits on the dark, earthy end rather than the bright end – closer to a faded field green than to anything loud. It is the option for anyone who wants their kit in a colour, but a quiet one. Same band, same grip panel and same hold as the black version; only the colour changes.
Silicone Grip Panel with Black Lettering
The band carries a silicone grip surface with the GRIP STRAP lettering in black. That texture raises the bite against the bar noticeably compared with plain webbing. Combined with cotton wrapped two or three times around the bar, it gives you a firm hold on heavy sets when your hands start sweating.
Grip Relief on Heavy Pulls
On heavy pulls it is usually grip strength that ends the set, not the target muscle. You let go of the bar while your back or hamstrings still have reps left. Wrapped around the bar, the strap takes that work off your hands: the load spreads into the band, your forearms tire later, and the last reps land in the back instead of the fingers.
59 cm of Cotton Weave with a Padded Loop
The band runs roughly 59 cm long and 4 cm wide in an 80% cotton and 20% neoprene weave, with around 4 mm of padding at the wrist so the loop does not dig in on heavy sets. That length gives you enough band for two or three full turns around the bar and a proper pull-tight. The ends and the loop are stitched double, because that seam is where a strap fails first.
Olive Green Lifting Straps – Frequently Asked Questions
Does the green work as well as the black version?
Functionally they are the same strap: same band, same silicone grip panel, same hold. Only the colour and the lettering differ.
Does the dye rub off?
No. The fabric is dyed through and colourfast. The first hand wash can release a little loose pigment, after which the colour stays put, including under sweat.
How do I wrap them?
Loop around the wrist with the loose end running across your palm towards the fingers. Grip the bar, feed the end under the bar and back over the top two or three times, then roll the bar slightly towards you until the band sits tight. Pulling tightens the wrap by itself.
Should I still train my grip without them?
Worth doing. Straps let the back finish the set, but they also take the forearms out of it. Most people run the working sets strapped and leave the lighter sets bare, so grip keeps developing alongside everything else.
Are they suitable for beginners?
Yes. The moment your grip gives out before the target muscle does, straps let you finish the set clean. You will have the wrapping down after a few sets.
