Beige Lifting Straps in Sand – Cotton Band with Silicone Grip

Classic lifting straps in a warm sand beige, made from 80% cotton and 20% neoprene, with a band roughly 59 cm long and 4 cm wide and a silicone grip panel carrying the GRIP STRAP lettering in black. You wrap the band around the bar and put the loop around your wrist: the panel adds bite, and the load transfers into the band instead of your grip. Around 4 mm of padding at the wrist keeps the loop from digging in. One size, sold as a pair.

Sand, the Lightest of the Earth Tones

A warm sand tone sitting between beige and khaki. It is the alternative for anyone who does not want another piece of black kit but also does not want a colour that announces itself. Next to olive it reads noticeably lighter; next to black it reads like a deliberate choice rather than a default.

Two or Three Turns Around the Bar

The wrap is what does the work, and 59 cm is cut to allow it properly. Loop on the wrist, loose end across the palm, then feed it under the bar and back over the top two or three times before rolling the bar towards you. Each turn adds friction; the pull tightens the whole thing by itself. A shorter band forces you to settle for one turn, which is where straps start slipping.

Silicone Panel with GRIP STRAP in Black

The grip panel is silicone with the GRIP STRAP lettering printed in black, the same setup the olive version carries. Its job is friction: a plain cotton band relies on wrap tension alone, while the textured panel keeps its bite when your hands and the bar are both wet.

How a Pale Band Ages

Being straight about it: sand shows more than black does. Bar grease and chalk mark a pale cotton band over a year of use, and no amount of washing puts it fully back. Some people like that a strap looks used; if you want kit that stays looking new, black or olive is the safer pick.

Beige Lifting Straps – Frequently Asked Questions

Which colour should I pick?
Function is identical across all of them, so it comes down to look and how visible you want wear to be. Black hides everything, olive sits in the middle, sand is the lightest of the earth tones and shows use soonest. There is also a light pink version with a loop cut for smaller wrists.

How do I clean them?
Cold hand wash, no bleach, dry in the air rather than on a radiator. The cotton keeps its grip better without softener, which coats the fibres and makes the band slicker against the bar.

Do they stretch over time?
Cotton gives a little in the first few sessions and then settles. It does not keep stretching the way a cheap synthetic webbing does, and the reinforced stitching at the ends and the loop is what holds the band at length under load.

Do they work on thick or axle bars?
Yes, with fewer turns. On a standard bar you get two or three wraps; on a thick axle or a fat grip you may only manage one and a half, which means slightly less bite. They still hold, but a thick bar is where straps have the least margin.
