No Pain No Gain Gym Towel – Fitness Towel in Cotton Terry
The No Pain No Gain gym towel by Gym Generation is a fitness towel in 500 GSM cotton terry (100% cotton), measuring 50 × 100 cm. The Spartan logo is woven into the fabric as a relief, the No Pain · No Gain lettering embroidered onto a grey band. Tested for harmful substances to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, made in Turkey.
Built for hard training: a gym towel that takes the sweat away, stays put on benches and machines and trains with you, instead of going limp after a few weeks. Gym Generation has been building training gear as a Swiss brand since 2013 – this is the towel for daily gym use. Shipped from Switzerland.
No Pain No Gain – the Oldest Line in Strength Training
The phrase is not a fitness invention: "No pains, no gains" appears as early as 1648 in the English poetry collection Hesperides by Robert Herrick, and Benjamin Franklin popularised the formula in 1758 in The Way to Wealth. Through the fitness wave of the early 1980s it became the mantra of the training world – and in bodybuilding, the guiding line above all others. On this towel it sits exactly where it belongs: next to you on the bench, on every set.
500 GSM Cotton Terry, Absorbent and With Grip
The towel is made from 100% cotton in a woven terry structure at 500 GSM – heavy and absorbent enough for intensive sessions, but light enough to dry quickly instead of sitting soaked in your backpack. That is what gives this fitness towel grip rather than slip. The edge is bound all the way round and reinforced with polyester, so it holds its shape and does not fray.
A Woven Relief Instead of a Print
The Gym Generation Spartan logo is worked directly into the fabric as a relief, tonal on black terry – you see it in the light and feel it under your hand. Below it sits the grey band with the embroidered No Pain · No Gain lettering. Not a printed motif that flakes off after a few washes, but properly worked textile craft.
50 × 100 cm, Sized for the Gym
At 50 × 100 cm, this gym towel hits exactly the size that works in the gym: big enough to cover a bench or machine completely – a hygiene rule in many gyms anyway – and compact enough not to be dragged along like half a bath sheet. Whether for strength training, cardio, bodybuilding or the sauna. You will find more sports towels in the collection.
OEKO-TEX® Tested, Made in Turkey
The towel is made in Turkey, the world's leading country for high-quality terry textiles, at a specialist manufacturer with its own weaving mill, sewing and embroidery. Every delivery is tested for questionable chemicals to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® – on a towel in direct, sweat-soaked contact with your skin, that is not a label detail but the point that counts.
No Pain No Gain Gym Towel – Frequently Asked Questions
Where does the phrase No Pain No Gain come from?
From English proverb collections of the 17th century – Robert Herrick printed "No pains, no gains" in 1648, and Benjamin Franklin spread the formula in 1758. The line became world-famous through the fitness wave of the 1980s and bodybuilding culture.
Is the logo embroidered or printed?
Neither – the Spartan logo is woven directly into the terry fabric as a relief. What is embroidered is the No Pain · No Gain lettering on the grey band. Nothing on this towel is printed.
What is the difference between a gym towel and a bath towel?
The size and the purpose: a bath towel is too bulky for a gym bag, a guest towel too small for the bench. A gym towel at 50 × 100 cm covers training surfaces and rolls up into any gym backpack.
How do I wash the gym towel properly?
Machine wash at 30 to 40°C, without fabric softener – it settles on the cotton fibres and reduces absorbency over time. Not in the tumble dryer. Pure cotton can shrink minimally on the first wash, which is normal for natural fibres.
Is the towel suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. It is made from pure cotton and tested for harmful substances to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® – suitable for sensitive skin even with daily use close to sweat.
Does the towel match the No Pain No Gain collection?
Yes – it carries the same lettering as the shirts and tanks in the No Pain No Gain collection and completes it as training gear.
