Gym Towel in Black – Cotton Sport Towel with Gold Embroidery
A training towel in 100% cotton, 50 × 100 cm, black throughout with the Gym Generation logo embroidered in gold at the centre. Large enough to cover a bench or a machine pad, compact enough to roll into any gym bag. Tested to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. Gold on black is the only accent – no pattern and no lettering anywhere else.
Dark Terry Shows Fewer Marks
A gym towel spends its life absorbing sweat and going through the wash. Black handles both better than pale terry: sweat marks barely register, and the colour stays where it started after dozens of cycles. The gold logo at the centre is the only contrast, stitched rather than printed, so it sits proud of the terry and never flakes off.
100% Cotton Instead of Microfibre
Plenty of gym towels are microfibre – light and quick-drying, but synthetic to the touch and prone to holding smell. This one is pure cotton: it takes up sweat the moment it touches skin rather than pushing it around, and the terry keeps its loft through repeated washing. STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® covers every component, which matters on something you press against a sweaty face.
Format 50 × 100 cm
At 50 × 100 cm the towel covers a training bench or a machine pad completely, and still rolls down small enough for any gym bag. It is the standard studio format, including in the gyms where bringing your own towel for benches and equipment is mandatory. If you want something smaller for face, neck and hands, there is the compact 30 × 90 cm version. The rest of the range sits in our gym towels collection.
Gym Towel – Frequently Asked Questions
Cotton or microfibre – which is better for training?
Cotton is softer on the skin, absorbs immediately and holds odour less. Microfibre is lighter and dries faster, but feels synthetic in the hand. This towel is deliberately 100% cotton.
Why a black towel for the gym?
Black shows sweat marks and wear far less than pale colours and stays colourfast through many washes. The gold logo is the only contrast on it.
Is the logo embroidered or printed?
Embroidered in gold thread on the black terry. Embroidery is raised, survives frequent washing and cannot crack the way a print eventually does.
How do I wash it?
Machine wash at 30 °C and air dry. Skip the fabric softener: it coats the cotton fibres and the towel absorbs less over time. Pure cotton may shrink slightly after the first wash, which is normal for a natural fibre.
What does the OEKO-TEX® certification mean?
STANDARD 100 means every component of the towel has been tested for harmful substances and stays within defined limits. It is a human-ecological safety test, not an environmental or organic label.
