The Maverick by Gym Generation in olive is a muted, earthy green that goes with everything – from your training outfit to jeans and a hoodie on the way home. Around 35 litres in rugged 900D nylon Oxford, a separate shoe compartment, a velcro panel for personalising and laser-cut MOLLE all the way around. Olive – the Earthy Alternative to Black

Black is the safe choice – and that is exactly why everyone in the gym has it. Olive is the step next to it: a muted, earthy green, calmer than a bright colour and warmer than pure black. It works with black and grey training kit just as well as with jeans and a hoodie on the way home. No camouflage print, no gimmick – a natural colour that does not look seasonal and does not wear out its welcome. Material That Does Not Give

On cheap bags, the zip is the first thing to give. The Maverick starts where they stop. The olive 900D nylon Oxford is the same dense, abrasion-resistant fabric as on the black Maverick and our backpacks – tear-resistant and coated to be highly water-repellent. The reinforced KAM zips run smoothly and cleanly, open the main compartment from both sides and are built for repeated full load, not for one season. Tested to 15 kg, the bag carries a complete set of training luggage with room to spare. At the base, a built-in stiffening plate and five rubber feet give it shape and a secure, clean stand.

Shoes Out of the Main Compartment

Training shoes loose next to fresh clothes – done once, never again. The Maverick's separate shoe compartment is divided off from the main compartment at the side and keeps dirty soles and odour where they belong. The main compartment keeps its room for clothes, towel, shaker and the rest of your gear. A separate zip compartment and a further inner pocket organise the small items, a front zip pocket takes keys and wallet, and the side mesh pocket holds your bottle.

Folds Open Like a Suitcase

The main compartment opens in a U-shape, clamshell style – fold it open, everything at a glance, done. No digging through a narrow opening, no feeling around the bottom of the bag. You pack flat, reach straight in and see what is in there. Because the KAM zips open from both sides, you get in from whichever side suits you.

Your Patches, Your Bag

A velcro panel sits on the front – and this is where a bag becomes yours. The two included Gym Generation patches, the Spartan logo and the lettering, stand out clearly against the earthy olive. After that you decide: Gym Warriors, Gorilla, "No Pain No Gain" or your own combination. You will find new designs going up all the time in our patch collection. Behind the velcro panel there is also a hidden zip pocket for valuables that nobody spots at first glance.

Laser-Cut MOLLE All Round

A laser-cut MOLLE system runs around the bag – the modern, cut version, flatter, lighter and cleaner than sewn-on webbing. You hang pouches, carabiners or gear on it in your own setup and extend the Maverick modularly. It gives the bag its straightforward, technical look – the same language as our Explorer backpack, here in earthy olive.

Does the Maverick in olive have a separate shoe compartment too?
Yes, identical to the black version. A dedicated compartment is divided off from the main compartment at the side and takes your shoes separately from fresh clothes. The compartment works just as well for worn, sweaty training kit.

Does the Maverick work as carry-on luggage?
At 58 × 25 × 25 cm it has a compact format that passes as cabin luggage with many airlines. Since the 58 cm length sits at the upper end for some carriers, it is worth a look at their carry-on dimensions beforehand.

Can I customise the Maverick with patches?
