Most gym bags are black sacks with a zip. The Maverick by Gym Generation is the opposite: around 35 litres in the same rugged 900D nylon Oxford as our backpacks, a separate shoe compartment for dirty soles, a hook-and-loop panel where you set your own statement, and a laser-cut MOLLE system all the way around. Tested to 15 kg, with reinforced KAM zips that open from both sides and run smoothly pull after pull. Built for Real Load

On cheap bags, the zip is the first thing to give. The Maverick starts where they stop. The 900D nylon Oxford is the same rugged fabric we use for our backpacks – tear-resistant, abrasion-resistant and coated to be highly water-repellent. The reinforced KAM zips run smoothly and cleanly, open the main compartment from both sides and are built for repeated full load, not for one season. Tested to 15 kg, the Maverick carries a complete set of training luggage with room to spare. At the base, a built-in stiffening plate and five rubber feet give the bag its shape and a secure, clean stand on the changing-room floor – premium details cheap bags leave out.

Shoes Apart, Head Clear

Anyone who has ever packed training shoes loose next to fresh clothes knows why this detail matters. The Maverick's separate shoe compartment is divided off from the main compartment at the side and keeps dirty soles and odour where they belong – away from your clean things. The main compartment keeps its room for clothes, towel, shaker and everything else for training. A separate zip compartment and a further inner pocket keep small items within reach, a front zip pocket takes keys and wallet, and the side mesh pocket holds your bottle.

Folds Open Like a Suitcase

The main compartment opens in a U-shape, clamshell style – you fold it open like a suitcase and see everything at a glance. No digging through a narrow opening, no searching at the bottom of the bag. You pack flat, reach straight in and keep the overview. Zips that open from both sides let you get in from whichever side suits you.

A laser-cut MOLLE system runs around the bag – the modern, cut version, flatter, lighter and cleaner than sewn-on webbing. You attach pouches, carabiners or gear to it in your own setup and extend the Maverick modularly. It gives the bag its straightforward, technical look and keeps it flexible at the same time – the same language as our Explorer backpack.

Padded handles on top and at the side for a quick grab, a detachable shoulder strap with mesh padding for longer routes.
