Knitted entirely from recycled polyester

No. It is polyester rather than wool, so the scratching at the forehead that many people know from wool beanies does not happen here.

Is polyester as warm as wool?
It is warm in a different way. Wool insulates better once it is damp, polyester is lighter and dries faster. For training, running and the trip to the gym that is the more practical trade-off. If you stand still all day below freezing, a thick wool beanie will keep you warmer.

Who is the Atlantic not right for?
Anyone who wants a flat, close-fitting fisherman beanie. The rib is chunky and adds some volume. And anyone set on wool, since merino holds its warmth better when you are standing still.
