Zombie Outbreak Patch – Round Velcro Patch with Biohazard Symbol
The Zombie Outbreak patch from Gym Generation is a round, embroidered hook and loop patch: the red biohazard symbol at the centre, the white lettering ZOMBIE OUTBREAK RESPONSE TEAM running around it, framed by two red rings on a black base. Its hook backing sticks to any loop panel on a backpack, vest, jacket or other gear.
Biohazard Symbol in Red Thread
The centre carries the biohazard sign: three interlocking crescents around an inner ring. It was designed in 1966 as a warning sign for biological hazards – deliberately so that it could not be confused with any existing symbol. On the patch, it is densely embroidered in strong red and stands out clearly against the black base.
Response Team Badge with Circular Lettering
The layout follows classic unit insignia: a round frame, ZOMBIE OUTBREAK at the top, RESPONSE TEAM at the bottom and a white star on each side as a divider. The design comes from the airsoft, survival and horror scene and takes on the end-of-the-world scenario with a wink – a morale patch for gear worn with a sense of humour. More designs are in the Velcro patches collection, such as the glow-in-the-dark Evil Smiley patch.
Zombie Outbreak Patch FAQ
Velcro patch or sew-on patch?
It's a Velcro patch, also known as a morale patch: the back is the hook side and sticks to any loop surface. Attaching, removing and swapping takes seconds. For a permanent fix, you can also sew it on around the edge.
What does the patch stick to?
Any loop surface – such as the loop panels on Gym Generation backpacks, or vests, caps and jackets with hook and loop. It won't stick to smooth fabric without a loop panel.
What does the biohazard symbol stand for?
It is the international marking for biological hazards, used in laboratories and hospitals, for example. On this patch, it is part of a fictional response-unit badge from the zombie genre, not an official marking.
Does the red stay colourfast?
Yes. The colour is in the embroidery thread, not in a coating. With normal use on a backpack, the contrast between red, white and black stays intact.
