1. What makes a Gym Generation t-shirt different from a standard gym shirt?

Three construction details make the difference: double stitching that doesn't rip even in intense training, a taped neck seam that stays comfortable for hours, and printed neck labels instead of scratchy silk tags. Add our own print process, which lasts far longer than standard vinyl prints, and a fabric weight of 215–220 gsm on our cotton line – solid enough for heavy lifts, light enough for all day.

2. What material and fabric weight (gsm) are your t-shirts made of?

Our heavyweight main line is 100% cotton at 215–220 gsm – a solid mid-heavyweight that holds its shape and falls with substance. Alongside it runs a lighter line in a 60/40 cotton blend at around 160 gsm for an airier feel. That covers both: the sturdy statement shirt and the light all-rounder for hot days. Our Oversized Old-School line adds French terry for extra volume and a premium feel in the Golden Era bodybuilding style.

3. What cuts and fits does Gym Generation offer?

Three main lines: Athletic / Slim Fit for the classic gym cut that shows your shape. Streetstyle Fit with a lived-in look – either raw-cut sleeves made for rolling up, or folded, stitched-down sleeves. And the Oversized Old-School line in French terry for the Golden Era look. All available in sizes S–XXL. Which fit is yours depends on how you train and how you dress.

4. How do the t-shirts fit?

Athletic/slim-fit models run true to size – with a wide chest, or if you lift, we recommend one size up. Streetstyle fits sit a little looser on the body. Oversized Old-School models are deliberately cut two sizes wider – order your standard size for the full oversized effect, not a smaller one. 5. How durable are the prints on your t-shirts?

Our print process works in two steps: first a textured base with a fine, sand-like feel, then a screen print that locks the design into the fabric – no thin vinyl that peels off after 10 washes. The result: prints survive hundreds of washes without visible fading or cracking. The condition: wash at 30 °C inside out and skip the dryer. That keeps the print like day one.

6. Do the t-shirts shrink or lose their shape after washing?

Washed correctly (30 °C, no dryer), our shirts hold their shape. Since pure cotton is a natural fiber, it can shrink slightly on the first wash – we calculate a tolerance of up to 5%, which is normal for premium cotton. Wash cold and air-dry, and you keep shrinkage minimal. The double stitching makes sure the shape holds through many washes. The only real enemies are the dryer and washes above 40 °C – avoid both.

7. Can I wear the gym t-shirt in everyday life, at work or going out?

We check every delivery for construction quality in Switzerland before it ships. A sample of our fabric was tested by Eurofins against EU REACH standards in March 2024 – the result: well below the legal limit for harmful substances.
