What makes a good gym backpack?
A good gym backpack has to be rugged, smartly organised and comfortable to carry. What's the difference between a gym backpack and a CrossFit or tactical backpack?
Technically very little — the build is the same. The main material is 900D Oxford — a densely woven, abrasion-resistant fabric that stays stable under daily use and a full load. What compartments and carry systems does the backpack have?
The backpack has three large main compartments, plus a pocket on the upper Velcro panel for essentials like your wallet, headphones or phone — and a hidden back compartment for a laptop or important documents. All compartments open both ways. It carries on padded shoulder straps and a padded back, while adjustable chest and hip straps spread the weight — ideal for running, hiking and rucking when the backpack is fully loaded.
