Super Grip Weightlifting Gloves – Fingerless Grip Pads
The Super Grip from Gym Generation are fingerless grip pads with a wrist wrap built in: a non-slip grip surface in neoprene and rubber sits over the palm, while the long wrap supports the wrist. Fingers and the back of the hand stay completely free, so the hands breathe and you keep full movement. The textured surface holds on dumbbells, bars and machine handles, including when your hands sweat. Unisex, adjusted with Velcro. Made for strength training, barbell work, weightlifting and functional training.
Developed by Gym Generation, a Swiss brand for training and strength gear since 2013.
What the Honeycomb Pattern Does
A flat rubber surface grips by friction alone. The honeycomb breaks that surface into hundreds of raised edges and hollows, and each edge is a point where the bar has something to catch on. That is why it still holds when the palm is damp: the moisture goes into the hollows instead of forming a film between hand and steel. On a smooth machine handle you notice it most, because there is no knurling doing the work for you.
Fingerless: Free Fingers, Free Airflow
Unlike a closed glove, the Super Grip covers the palm and nothing else. Fingers and the back of the hand stay completely free – that gives you a full feel for the weight, maximum movement and airflow straight onto the skin. No sweating fingers under fabric, just grip exactly where the hand carries the load.
Black and Camel with a Gold Logo
Most grip pads are plain black. These pair black neoprene with a camel-coloured grip panel and the Gym Warriors logo in gold on the wrist wrap – the warm tone sits against the black rather than disappearing into it. If you want the plainer look instead, the same build comes in all black with a silicone print.
Super Grip – Frequently Asked Questions
Are these gloves or grip pads?
Grip pads. They cover the palm with a non-slip grip surface and leave the fingers and the back of the hand free, plus the built-in wrist wrap. If you want a full feel for the bar and maximum airflow rather than a closed glove, this is the right build. If you want a padded palm and the hand covered, take the leather gloves instead.
Rubber grip or silicone print – what is the difference?
Both are grip pads with a wrist wrap. The Super Grip carries a rubber surface in a honeycomb pattern, which gives the most mechanical bite on a smooth bar. The black pads with a silicone print sit thinner and are the plainer look. Same job, different grip material.
What does the built-in wrap add?
It gives the joint extra hold on pressing and lifting work, and you set the firmness yourself through the winding. It also anchors the pad, so the grip surface stays on the palm instead of shifting when you hang. Grip and wrist support in one piece, without wearing a full glove.
Does the rubber wear down?
Slowly, and evenly – the honeycomb is moulded into the surface rather than printed on top, so it thins with use instead of peeling. What shortens its life is heat: keep the pads off the radiator and out of the tumble dryer.
What size do I take?
They run true to size and the neoprene adapts to the hand. Measure your hand circumference and compare it against the size chart – the size follows the measurement, not your gender.
Can I wash them?
Wipe them down after training or hand wash cold, then air dry, off the radiator. That keeps the grip surface and the neoprene in shape.
