How does the 65/35 fabric differ from the 80/20 pants in the range?
More polyester, less cotton. That makes the Alpha a touch less soft against the skin than an 80/20 pair, and in exchange it dries faster, creases less and holds its shape better over a long life. If you want the softest fabric, take an 80/20; if you want the pair that survives the most washes, this is it.

Do the metal zips catch on a bench or a machine?
The pocket zips sit flat in the seam rather than raised on top of the fabric, so nothing snags when you lie down or slide along a bench. The cuff zip sits at the ankle, below where any equipment touches you. What is worth remembering is the wash: close both pocket zips before the machine so the teeth do not run against the rest of your kit.

Is the Alpha slimmer than the other pants?
Yes – it is the closest-fitting pair in the range, cut slim and close to the body rather than loose at the top like the athletic joggers. If you prefer room at the hip and thigh, one of the tapered pairs will suit you better.
